A globe-trotting deviation for the annual iam8bit exhibition, “ich bin 8-bit” takes the idea of the “pixel” as the ultimate paintbrush and uses an entire gallery as its canvas. Hosted by Picto Plasma, an internationally-renowned design conference, and neurotitan gallery in March 2009 in Berlin, Germany, the show encompassed a massive installation of 15,000+ Post-It notes designed by Jude Buffum. Hidden within the giant assembly of pixels was ink drawings by dozens of acclaimed character designs from around the world, including Jorge R. Gutierrez, Sandra Equihua, Gabe Swarr, Jim Mahfood, MyTarPit, Mike Mitchell and others.
