In honor of The Legend of Zelda’s 25th Anniversary, Nintendo asked iam8bit to divise a proper tribute to the game… in the form of a conference room in their Redwood City branch. Standard corporate office fare, the challenge wasn’t necessarily in transforming the typically drab space into something special… but in interpreting two-and-a-half decades of Zelda iconography, meticulously paying homage to the franchise in every milk and cranny of the room: a massive wall mural painted by artist Gerald de Jesus; the great Deku tree serving as the room’s door; color-changing fairies hovering high in the sky; rupee pillows (of several denominations); and an installation of artificial grass, perfect for kicking off your shoes and digging your feet into. The indoor/outdoor room truly is a mind-trip, and if we mentioned all the fanboy love we snuck in, we’d be spoiling all the fun. See if you can spot it!
